저는 싱가포르에 거주중인 인도네시아인입니다. 게임을 만드는 일을 하고 있으며, 윰의 그림과 함께 하기를 원했습니다.

기한이 지나도록 작업물을 보내주시지 않으면서 제 메일에 답장도 없는 상황입니다. 저는 더이상 윰님에게 기회를 드리는 것에 지쳐있습니다. 이제는 환불만을 원합니다. 2월 15일까지 440달러를 환불해주지 않으신다면 한국 경찰에 이것을 고발하겠습니다. 제가 이 저널을 쓰게 된 경위를 요약정리하겠습니다.

2016/9월말
저는 윰에게 컨택하여 외주를 요청하습니다. 견적은 1000달러이며 절반에 가까운 440달러(한화 52만원 가량)를 선불지급하였습니다. 맡긴 작업은 6개의 캐릭터 일러스트입니다. 입금 전에는 답장을 빨리하였지만 그후부터는 소식이 빨리 오지 않았습니다. 그녀는 진행상황을 공유하거나 마감기한을 약속하는 것을 거부했습니다. 하지만 믿을 수밖에 없었습니다. 나중에 윰은 메일로 자신이 아프다며 기다려 달라고 했으나 며칠을 기다려도 언제 주겠다는 약속도 없어 10월 12일까지 러프를 달라고 했습니다. 이것 역시 지켜지지 않았고 아무런 답장도 변명도 없었습니다. 그녀는 트위터 DM은 확인하지만(읽음 체크가 됨) 답장을 하지 않았으며 심지어 후에 읽지 않았다고 거짓말도 하였습니다. 나는 외국인이기 때문에 너무나 이 상황이 힘들었습니다.

윰은 자신의 트위터에 새로운 커미션을 받는다는 글을 올렸습니다. 저와 비슷한 피해자들이 생겨나고 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 6명의 캐릭터 중 단 한명의 러프조차 받지 못한채 몇달이 흘렀습니다.

한국인 가운데에도 피해자가 있다는 것을 알았습니다. 무려 동시에 십수명이었습니다. 피해자들은 그녀가 왜 그동안 그림을 그리지 않았는지 듣고 싶었지만 그녀는 해명하지 않아 공분을 샀습니다. 그리고 일부 피해자들과 DM으로 재빨리 환불을 하고 잠수를 탑니다. 동시에 20여명에게 금전적 사기를 치고 있었던 것입니다. 저는 그 가운데에 한명이었던 것입니다. 이러한 사건이 터질 동안에도 Yum은 저에게는 아무런 연락이 없었고 저는 한국에서 일어나는 일을 모르고 있었습니다. 누구에게 도움을 청해야 할지 몰랐습니다.

윰에게 질문을 던지는 계정을 발견하게 되어 도움을 청했습니다. 그는 나와 대화 후 이 사건에 대해 공유해주었으며 이 트윗이 올라오자 놀랍게도 윰이 답장을 보냈습니다.

그래서 나의 일이 일단락되는 것 같아 감사했습니다. 윰은 "누가 안준다고 했어요? 거의 다 그렸거든요!"라면서 며칠 후 러프를 주기로 했습니다. 그리고 러프를 받았습니다만 그것은 단1명의 캐릭터의 러프였습니다. 하지만 저는 계속 진행하기로 했습니다. 단 러프를 멈추고 다른 작업을 해달라고 요청했습니다. 이미 너무나 지체되었기 때문에 작업은 다른 작가에게 넘겼습니다. 그래서 6명이 아닌 새로운 1개의 캐릭터 작업을 맡아주길 원했습니다. (왜냐하면 윰은 절대로 환불을 해주지 않으려 했기 때문에 작업은 계속될 수밖에 없었습니다)

작업은 1월말까지 1개의 캐릭터로 저는 만족하기로 했습니다. 440달러였지만..

크리스마스 이브에 보낸 메일 이후로 더이상 답장이 없었습니다.

저는 윰에게 환불을 요청했습니다. 그녀의 무응답에 함께 일할 수가 없었습니다. 누가 그녀를 믿을 수 있겠습니까?
윰의 답장은 이러합니다.
"환불 못해드립니다. 이미 스케치까지 진행했습니다. 그리고 1월말까지 하기로 한 작업물입니다. 갑자기 말을 바꾸시죠?"
러프 스케치를 작업했다면 왜 보여주지 않고 답장도 하지 않았을까요?
지금까지 거짓된 태도를 보인 건 제가 아니라 윰입니다.
어쨌든 스케치했다던 그 캐릭터의 작업을 또 계속 진행하기로 했습니다. 1월말까지.

저와의 약속을 모두 어기고 정말 힘들게 받은 답장에는 자신이 받은 스트레스만을 따지고 있습니다.
그리고 재차 약속을 하고 또 어기고 답장을 무시하는 것이 반복됩니다.

결국 그녀에게서 작업물은 아무것도 온 것이 없습니다.
메일은 그녀에게 지속적으로 보내왔습니다. 더이상 개인메일로 보내는 것에 지쳤습니다. 이 일을 공개적으로 알리기 원합니다. 2월 15일까지 제 계좌로 환불되지 않을 경우 한국 경찰에 도움을 요청하겠습니다.

수십명의 한국인 피해자들의 돈은 재빨리 환불하면서 왜 외국인인 저의 돈은 환불을 거부하는지 모르겠습니다. 돈을 받지 못해, 기회 아닌 기회를 계속 드리는 것을 이제는 그만둘 것입니다.

By december 22, she delivered one sketch of protagonist,
eventhough I said many times that it is being done by another person because of her not replying my emails,
and I needed protagonist to be done quickly and have given the job to someone else.
Seems like she always misunderstand me. If so, even if I given her my last chance (complete 1 character by january 30, 2017), 
i think that 'extra' sketch is okay considering she should do 3 completed characters in the first place.
so I asked her to do ONE more character, and please give me the sketch before. I even told her, no need to follow character brief, just anyhow she wants to do it, because at this point I'm literally tired of dealing this and just want something for my money.

Today is February 02, 2017. Promised to complete January 30, 2017.
I have patient wait for 4 days. Should she be sick or anything, she should contact me immediately because I asked her already if there is any problem, she said "no problem".

I think I have waited many times by promises. I gave her many chances.
If she cannot do she can refund me any day, I won't consider this even a case even after so many lies thrown at me.

1. I start working with her since october, but discussed from late september.
Before I sent money, she is keen on replying my messages promptly and even quickly. 
She asked about 1.000.000 KRW (about US$ 837.6, which is much higher in my currency since USD is so high, it is almost equivalent to sg$1100 if on a good rate.) We discussed that I will send half payment, and she shall send 6 sketches before I pay the rest.

2. the problem is not the time / slow, but the problem is she refuse to give me update and promised deadline (she gave me this date at first). she refuse to reply my messages. i said that there is no fixed deadline but I need it ASAP. and I politely always ask when she can deliver it, before things get sour and I must give a date myself. 

3. seems that she was really actually sick, i have been very understanding for this.




3. I want to see if she check my message so I decided to DM , since it can show a 'seen' message.

4. I have been really patient, waiting 4 days and nothing.

5. even so no update from 30th nov, i was still very patient to ask for delivery by dec 5.
I saw her ONLINE this time. deliberately avoiding my messages.

6. I scolded her long, i said that i dont have good communication and working experience with her and would want her to deliver by 10 december, and this is final. i demand clear communication. this message is seen and ignored. (dec 7)





7. i was worried and asked if she is ok, message not seen. (dec 10, i wait 3 days without reply of a seen message...)

8. around december 12, she opened commission again. this had led to a serious trouble for her, and that her victims finally exposes that turns out, there are many others who experienced the same with me. no sketch, no delivery, no update, no message whatsoever.
i wrote a journal on the same exact day, luck was on me? she replied me not long before she got exposed. so she is deliberately opening commissions despite claiming to be sick.

9. she only replied like that, and no solution to our problem. clearly, she doesn't care about me.

10. i tried writing in english, because if you care enough, this simple english would not be a problem.




11. if you see above, i have been very polite and understanding, and patient with her.
But now I am just anxious.

12. Even after being exposed, and she said in public apology that she won't make this happen again...
I think that she has refunded people's money. But I have not received mine because I wanted to give her one more chance, in case she had used my money and can't pay me back.
$440 is supposed to be for 3 characters and last chance I told her 1 character is enough and I will forgive her.. I just want my anxiety to be gone. But even THIS is not replied.
